Thank you for your interest in using and sharing your gifts as a volunteer. We want to help you put your faith into action through our various ministries.  Please take a moment to fill out our Volunteer Survey so that you can get started right away.

One-time Opportunities

  • Discovering Life: There is plenty to help with, food preparation, set up, serving, clean up teams, ministry fair, childcare. This event happens four times each year.
  • Weekly Prep Team: Volunteer to help organize events, activities and other profects, or assist in the office with mailers, the weekly planner and administrative details for weekend services. 

General Ministry Opportunities

  • Small Group Leader: Help us provide an opportunity for others to wxplore the Christian faith in a relative and non-threatening atmosphere. We all need to be connected to each other. Contact .
  • Suddenimpact Student Ministry: Invest in the lives of our 6-12th graders through services, descipleship, prayer, outreach adn other activities. Check out the SI website! Contact .
  • Excel Ministry: Be a part of large group meetings and small group settings geared to reach young adults and students of Parkland and the U of I. Contact .
  • International Ministry: Help reach the many internationals who make Champaign County their home, through meetings, small groups, prayer and friendships. Contact .
  • Senior Adults: This is a group of people who need extra love, care and time. Be a part of activities and help make someone's life brighter. Contact .
  • Francophone Ministry: Be a part of a ministry reaching the French Speaking population in CU. Contact .

Stone Creek Kids
Contact to help in these areas.

  • Pebble Beach: A safe and loving place for babies 6 weeks through age 2 to experience God's love through the nurture and care of volunteers like you!
  • Stepping Stones 1&2: Volunteer to work with children age 3 & 4, Kindergarten, and 1st grade, as they learn about God and spend time with each other. Kids participate in fun songs, crafts, activity centers and stories designed to help them get to know Jesus better.
  • Kids R.O.C.K: At Stone Creek Church, we're Raising Our Children for the Kingdom. Help provide exciting worship, relevant teaching, and tons of fun in services just for 2nd-5th graders.

Worship

  • Worship Team and Choir: We are looking for singers and players with a heart for worship. Contact  (Choir) (Band)  (Worship).
  • Sound Tech: Sound board operation and general audio needs for services. Contact .
  • Media Team: Assist with the audio/visual elements of service and special events. Contact .
  • Video Team: Be a part of video broadcasts during services and with filmmaking and editing for special projects and services. Contact .

Food Pantry
Contact  to help out!

  • Set up team: On Sunday we set up for the week, help us in the afterneen with general setup.
  • Ministry Team: Be a part of the team that receives families, hands out food and ministers to individuals from 10:30am-2:30pm on Mondays.
  • Take Down Team: Help us reset the Kids Center after the Food Pantry closes on Monday afternoons.
  • Prep Team: On Thursdays we prepare for the next week, tasks include loading and organizing products.
  • Data Entry: Anytime during the week, help with simple data entry.
  • Prayer Team: You can do this from home! Be a support by praying for this ministry to our community.

Hospitality

  • First Impressions: Be a part of a team that ensures that both church members and guests feel at home and well informed from parking lot to Welcome Center. Ushers will provide logistical support for all services as well as greet and seat those who attend. Contact .
  • Parking Team: Provide a great first impression by welcoming our guests as soon as they pull into the parking lot. Contact .
  • Van Ministry: Volunteer to pickup those who need rides to our weekend services. This is a wonderful ministry in which you will have a huge impact on every individual you meet on a Sunday morning! Contact .
  • Audio/Video Duplication: Be apart of the team of people who administrate the production of CDs and DVDs for the services. Contact .
