Here At Stone Creek, we provide two source of giving food.

 

SHARE FOOD

SHARE:  (Self-Help And Resource Exchange) is a program where people can purchase a package of food for $18 and 2 hours of community service with a retail value of about $35. The food package contains meat, fresh fruits, vegetables, and staples. SHARE buyers purchase the food from growers, brokers, and packaging plants.

SHARE IS UNIQUE: SHARE is for everyone. “If you eat, you qualify.” Everyone in the community can participate. Because it is for everyone, it can help break down barriers that divide people . . . barriers like race, religion, social and economic classes, gender, age, etc. When we break down barriers, we can begin to build community and neighborhoods.

SHARE IS COMMUNITY SERVICE: Community service is defined as random acts of kindness, or service to benefit one’s neighbor or community. Anything you do for another person or organization without pay is community service. It might be delivering meals to the elderly, organizing a group to clean up the neighborhood, setting up a crime watch, helping with scouts or little league, etc.

FOOD PANTRY:

A diverse non-profit organization embracing all members of our community in a non-judgmental and nurturing manner.  We are seeking to build supportive relationships with individuals to provide services which will enhance the children's and family's lives, in order to help them become self-sufficient.

MONDAY
Our distribution, we give fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, entrees, pasta and non-food necessities (toothpaste, diapers, soap, etc.). 

Volunteer needs:

  • Hospitality
  • Security
  • Clean-up

THURSDAY
We shop and replenish the pantry with thousands of pounds of food.

Volunteer needs:

  • Drive the truck to pick up the food
  • Help unload the truck at noon
  • Break down each box and prepare the food for distribution on Monday
  • Divide large quantities of food into family sizes

SUNDAY
We prepare the children's gym for Monday's Distribution.

Volunteer needs:

  • Set up tables
  • Set up chairs
  • Set the food on the tables
